City Treasurer

Overview

The City Treasurer for the City of Marion is responsible for receiving and depositing payments and monies received by the city, accurately recording and maintaining records of the city's finances, maintaining, reconciling and auditing the financial books and reporting the status of the city's finances to the City Administrator and City Council.

The City Treasurer for the City of Marion is Becky Makovec.

She also serves as the City of Marion Utility Billing Clerk. In this role she maintains and reconciles the utility billing records for the City of Marion. She also maintains the cemetery records.

A native of Marion, Ms. Makovec currently volunteers on the Central Park Improvement Committee.
