Fire Department
Overview
The goal of the Marion Fire Department is to be efficient, knowledgable and safe in their efforts to contain all incidents, and to remind the public of fire safety.
The Marion Fire Department is staffed by a company of volunteer firefighters. These volunteers stand ready at a moments notice to leave their jobs and homes when duty calls to respond to a fire.
We are fortunate in Marion to have such a skilled and dedicated fire department. They attend training classes and meetings on their own time to stay aware of current fire issues and maintain a level of firefighting skill comparable to "professional" firefighters.
The Fire Chief of the Marion Fire Department is Chris Killough. You can call the City Building at (620) 382-3703, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, to set up an appointment to meet with him. You can also send a fax to (620) 382-3993.
If there is an Emergency, please Call 9-1-1.
