  • Marion Historical Museum: Artifacts of early day life and Indian artifacts from archaeological digs around the city are on display. A colorful past that's well preserved!
  • Marion Cemetery: Settlers of the area are laid to rest in this tranquil setting. Graves of pioneers include that of Judge Riggs as well as other local dignitaries.
  • Beautiful Stone Buildings: Three buildings are on the National Historic Register. Also check out the newly restored historic Santa Fe Depot, home to the Marion City Library.
  • Central Park: This beautiful area inspired our community! This is one of the prettiest parks around. Come follow the nature trail along Luta Creek, or view the recently restored historic spring. Enjoy our antique fountains, play volleyball and basketball, or let the kids experience a fun playground, and safe haven for children.
  • East Park: Enjoy the raquetball court, basketball court,  lighted tennis courts, shelter house and newly added playground equipment.
  • Marion Country Club: Nine-Hole, grass greens golf course and swimming pool await you! Reasonable green fees, no tee times required, picturesque rolling hills. Enjoy!
  • Vintage Homes: Take a drive down brick streets, following the bend of Luta Creek, to view these nostalgic homes and churches dating back to the mid-1880's.  There is a Historic Home Tour Guide and map on the Tourism page
  • Beautiful Productive Farms: Several farms, over a century old, surround Marion.
  • Two Lakes: Marion Reservoir and Marion County Park and Lake are located within a short driving distance from Marion.
  • Marion Reservoir: This federal facility is a 6,200 acre lake with good fishing, camping, RV hookups, swimming, boating, skiing, wind surfing, picnic facilities, hunting and much, much more.
  • Marion County Park and Lake: A beautiful, peaceful area with RV hookups, shower and bathroom facilities, swimming, water skiing, wind surfing, picnic facilities, shelter houses, heated fishing dock, large meeting hall, and much, much more!! Marion County Lake was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places.
  • Shopping: Take a stroll along Main Street and enjoy the unique shops housed in historic 1800's stone buildings.
