Chlorine Burnout April 29th-May 27th 2024

The City of Marion will be conducting a chlorine burnout of the water distribution system from April 29th through May 27th, 2024. This is a maintenance practice used to help clean the system pipes and raise chlorine residuals throughout the system. There may be a noticeable taste and odor change in the water during this period, which is completely normal. The water department will be following KDHE sampling requirements and chlorine level requirements during this time.
